While I'm down here at my folks place and have access to all the garage toys, I have been doing a few chores on the car (MY98 UK Turbo).

I've just decided to clean my ITG panel filter, and when I opened the air box I was glad to find the filter still tightly in place. BUT, whne I took it out found that the metal strengthaning mesh, near the engine intake, was heavily bowed! Man can the Scoob suck !!

Filter was fairly clean, no sign of oil on the top side, a little in bottom of the air box, and absolutely none on the Hot Wire Air Flow Metering gubbins in the intake which is pleasing after 15k miles!
