does anyone know where i can buy a rb5 spoiler or something simelar for around the £300 mark for my 2000 classic? (as ffwd motorport can no longer get hold of them)

What do you mean by "RB5 spoiler"? The standard fit spoiler on the RB5 was the regular "mid level" one that came as standard on all MY99-00 Turbos.
If you mean the slightly higher one that was available as an option, this is the Prodrive "WR Sport" item, which may still be available via Subaru dealers (although for more than £300). Similar looking copies are available via TSL, Scoobyworld, DR Motorsport and no doubt a number of other styling/tuning places.
