Question

To all you speed freaks out there!

Does anyone know if there are any advantages in hybridising the Subaru turbo (specifically the STi 5 turbo)?
Is it already as efficient as it could be?

If anyone has had any experiences of hydridising turbos, I would greatly appreciate some feedback on the subject.

Howdy..

You are quite limited on the IHI Turbos...

It all depends what you are after ? response ? top end ? It all depends...

The easiest way is to swap wheels and housings over... fit a VF-15 wheel and housing.. mated to your exhaust wheel and housing...

What I am after is increasing the torque that the car currently produces - 280lbs/ft @ 4,000rpm.
I know that the amount of boost is directly related to the torque, but I was wondering if there were ways of increasing the torque, via increased efficiency / flow rates of the turbo itself?
I have about 300 BHP currently, so increasing this does not concern me. What I would like is tarmac rippling torgue between 3,000 and 5,500 rpm. Is this possible with the STi5??
