When under heavy and constant acceleration (no roll offs) the car will hesitate (hicup).
It doesn't occur all the time and when it has happened it has been very warm (car, weather and myself).
Sorry the car is an RB5

I experienced a similar sounding problem on my MY99. Dealer cleaned out the boost regulator valve and fitted new plugs which has helped considerably. This happens when oil gets into the valve due to over filling of engine oil.
The car was over filled from new, I know because when the mechanic did the 1000 mile service he thought, incorrectly, that I had topped-up with too much oil.
Hope this helps.

i have the same problem, it has only occured twice in six months. the strange thing is it is a hot day when it happens, and the car has to be driven (very) hard for a good ten minutes to make it happen.

any ideas?

Like Deano my problem has only occured a couple of times in my brief ownership (3 Months). I should imagine if the boost regulator valve was affected by oil vapour at high boost ie under full load this could cause it to stutter.
The problem is it doesn't happen all the time.

Phil
I get the same problem but I only notice it in 5th between about 70 & 90 mph. The problem only shows above about half throttle and varies from day to day, it seems to make no difference if it is a hot or cool day.
I have an RB5 WRSport, why be sorry ?
I don't find it a major problem as otherwise the car seems fine, no loss of power generally.
Sorry I have no fix if you find out what it is please let me know.
