i have a slightly squeeky bearing on my air con unit which went away with a small spray of wd40 ,but i asked the mechanic if it could be greased and he said they are sealed units and can,t be taken apart to grease the bearings.. is this true! sorry for the long threa.kazlo

When you say air-con unit, do you mean the blower fan or the compressor?

If it's the compressor, it may be part of the clutch unit - which may be a replaceable part.

I've re-greased sealed type bearings on alternators before, But it only seems to last for a short period before it returns. Mind you, the alternator is fitted in my off-roader, so it frequently gets caked in mud

hi ali not to sure but it,s the bit that is running off the belt at the top of the engine next to the alternator ,if that makes any sense..kazlo
