As you can see from the pictures below my exhaust (H&S Down pipe and center and Ninja BB) is obviously ruinning to close the boot had has heated and thinned the grease which has subsequently been flung out every where.

Q) How do I put it back in? Is anything likely to be fooked? Am I gonna have to mod the exhaust to drop it a few inch?

Cheers,

The only way is to remove the boot retaining clip and refill the boot, but be aware, these things do ooze grease anyway with use. Dont simply think it has just happened as due to the flexing and rotation of the shafts, the boot pressurises and forces some grease out every now and again.

Dont panic "Mr Mannering!"

Unhappy

This was a known problem on classics pre 99 and was subject to warranty rectification with a different grease.

Hi V45, seen you around Aberdeen a few times now, will have to stop and talk cars sometime, am interested in finding out more about the stuff u have on your car.......Did u get the seats re-trimmed or is that grey leather an option? i have a silver scoob also and wouldn`t mind that interior (swap + cash?). Also what brake disks have you got on the front? am after some grooved ones too

As for the car - Seats were fitted as an option from new they were already starting to crack and flake on the drivers seat with only 20k on the clock, The discs a drilled and groved godspeed - they nearly failed the MOT as there fully of cracks as well.
