With this new restriction, how are you guys going to get parts for your STi's? Does this affect dealers like David Hendry or Lockyear? Does it affect Jap spec Legacys?
BTW, those lucky people in Hong Kong have just received their 2nd batch of STi V.5 and the new Legacy GT-B (all imported officially, as they are the only models offered their).

Well, my wrx needed 2 parts, one wrx specific, one bog standard impreza. My importer DVI, got the first direct from Japan in 5 days, and a main dealer have taken 6 weeks and counting for the other part.

The guy who supplied my car in Japan says he can supply any WRX, STI parts to the UK no problem. Only difficult model is the 22B.

Seems like the legendary Subaru (or IM) aftersales service means something else.
How can a WRX part only takes a few days to arrive whereas the bog standard one takes a few weeks?

about the part thing, i get hold of my supplier in herefordshire, he e-mails the chap in japan, who the sources and fed exs to my dor, there u go 3 days. Its that easy when u know how.

I get parts direct from Japan. They turn up quicker than ordering through a UK dealer and they are cheaper.

who from abetts, e-mail me and spill the beans please, u might save me a mint, do u get stung for VAT or import tax, or do u use Fed ex or UPS> thanx mate. stu.
