MY98-CAN ANYONE RECOMMEND SUITABLE STOPPERS TO;
a)INCREASE PEDAL FEEL
b)DECREASE FADE
c)REDUCE STOPPING DISTANCES
I DONT REALLY WANT TO SPEND LOADSA MONEY.
IS THERE A COST EFFICIENT COMPROMISE?

The Prodrive supplied mintex pads will help reduce fade for about £200 for front and rear.
The Pagid ones should be a bit better, and are available from Scoobysport. For a little more money, you could invest in steel brake hoses, and high quality brake fluid. This will help the pedal feel.
For a little over £100, you could fit Group N discs (also Scoobysport) which should again help things a little.
If you still have your original 16 inch wheels, then an option is to fit the Subaru 4 pot caliper set-up from the STi models (and now MY99 cars in the UK). Probably about 700+VAT+fitting from new, but you might find some on the 2nd hand market. Available from your local Subaru dealer (as a Prodrive option now I believe), or someone like Graham Goode Racing. You would be best advised to fit steel hoses and uprated fluid at the same time for maximum benefit.
For the ultimate brake set-up, get the Brembo kit from Scoobysport, which will fit all popular wheels of 16" and bigger. You would be hard pushed to get these to fade, even on a race track, and I doubt if you could get them even close to fading on the road. Cost is under £1200+VAT!!
All of the above options will keep the existing ABS in operation, as it works from sensors which are not on the discs.

I fitted the Scoobysport Group N discs at teh front with fast road pads from Tarox, the cost was cheaper than that quoted by a Subaru dealer for standard replacement gear!
The feel is slightly better, the fade is less and the stopping power is huge compared to the old standard stuff! Pedal feel is much the same, but uprated hoses could sort that out.
