Did I mention...
that I had the pleasure of a free track day at Knockhill yesterday, courtesy of AF Noble & Sons in Penicuik, who treat all their Impreza Turbo customers to a free track day every year
The track was very wet due to heavy rain for most of the day, but dried up nicely towards the end.
Highlight of the day was being experterly piloted by Mike Wood in the Prodrive P1 (with 18 inch wheels, exhaust, big brakes and a few other extras) around the track in spectacular sideways style
Other highlights included my standard 2 pot brakes lasting for more than 4 laps, and Mike catching and passing a Ferarri 355 in the P1.
Oh and before you ask, the track was still damp but drying nicely, and the 355 was being driven by a current F3 driver. The P1 actually was about 3 -4 car lengths behind coming onto the main straight, but made this up (and a bit more) by the end of the uphill drag towards Duffus. I knew the P1 was fast, but it's not until you see something like this for yourself that you realise just how fast!
