APS are considering slightly modifying the original US spec 2.5 engine oil cooling system and using inderts to make them a complete closed deck block, using stronger internals, exhaust, turbo, fmic, fuel system, etc... and offering this as a 650 bhp package for drag racing.

I'm curious as to how many people would be interested - the expected retail would be £12-15k (that shouldn't surprise anyone as some people I've been speaking to are budgeting for more).

The problem here is that all these parts have developed on the back of the APS racing program - and a couple of 650 bhp 3.5 engine cars are around - but minimum numbers of 12-15 units need to be reached before they will put special order parts into production.

So who's this serious?

I can't give you details of the parts used until after SEMA. I have pics of the engine components and bolt-ons - even a complete 2.5 engine but cannot show anybody. The next few months in Subaru tuning is going to be a lot of fun

I agree with comments above - a suitable drivetrain will cost at least as much as the engine - if not more. This is not a cheap project.

So in effect they havent done it yet? and it hasnt been proven?

As everyone on here says.. how many miles has it done? how reliable...

Good Luck..

While not interested myself, do we read correct, that is a COMPLETE package ??
From a built engine, turbo, intercooler + pipework, fuel system ( injectors + pump ) management system? Induction, exhaust??

Is this also on pump fuel?? which tends to be crap here
