Speedo drives.... is it possible

Would it be possible to change a cable driven speedo gearbox to Electronic?? would this just be a case of changing the speedo drives??

wouldnt Mr wallis no the answer to this..?? doesnt he have an STI7 gear box.. mind you he does still have the standard dials IIRC.
