Just changed my oil from motul 300v 5/40 to motul 300v 15/50 and noticed that the running temp with the new oil is about 5 degrees higher, with the 5/40 was running about 95 when giving it some would go up to 105ish,with the new 15/50 runs just under 100 and when giving it some will go to about 110!,the question iv got is this a sign of any problem or is it just the new oils characteristics?..cheers in advance,oh iv got a 320bhp STI7

Nothing to worry about. a thin oil eg 05w30 will run cooler than a heavier more viscuous oil eg 15w50.
Motul 300V is probably one of the better oils available. The thicker oil will also show higher oil pressures.
Give the oil plenty time to warm up.

Cheers harvey, have noticed a higher oil pressure when cold and when hot rather than just above 2bar on the 5/40 it now runs 3bar with the 15/50 when hot which is a good thing.I never take it above 4000rpm till the oils up near 90 degrees.
