MY99,with a tek '2.5' D/P, and run with Optimax. When first installed, no matter what I did, I simply didn't get any knocklink activity. Just recently I've noticed that at around 5K I get a run of upto and including orange led's. This doesn't happen every time but appears to occur when I get back on the throttle after a gear change and before I reach WOT, ie, as I depress the throttle. On a recent occassion this happened as i reached an open section of road after having been in a stream of traffic travelling at a constant 35mph, ambient temp, say 22degrees. What can I check for and what is going on?


Car idles fine and has std induction.Optimax from various garages

Suspect you might have a failing MAF sensor, there are other causes but this is a common one. You need to get it logged with Delta Dash and see how much knock correction it is running amongst other checks.
