I've just got back from Protaras ! Was the red one the one with the STI rear spoiler... I only saw two in my whole time out there... every other car seems to be a diesel . But then again it cost the taxi man £9 to fill up with 50 litres of diesel !!!

Yes the red one did have the Sti spoiler so did the white one. There were several knocking about but those two caught the eye. Did you see the local M3 crew cruising around each night? We got back on Sunday...stayed at the Sunrise Beach Hotel, where were you?

saw some meathead of a guy in a WRX, blue with stoopid huge rear spoiler, he was in the jasmin bar in ayia napa, eating. He asked me why i bought mine in the UK, and i replied that i was only on holiday there and had got the car shipped over some time before to drive whilst out there
p.s. i have since sold him my HKS exhaust and he's eternally grateful!! :P:P

Dave - you must have got caught in the delay then? We were at the apartments waiting for collection then the rep turned up and started talking about a 2 hour delay to britannia flights Then she said oh by the way this only applies to east midlands flights and not luton flights So I got home on time ! God I love those in flight meals

Thumbs up

I spent 3 years based at Episkopi (RAF). I bought my 94 WRX there, and there were lots of Scoobs around. Two main dealers as well in Nicosia and a good dealer in Limmasol with a monster upgraded blue STI III Type RA.
I was in the process of setting up a club/social/general get together when I was posted back. There are a few Brits out there (off shore companies etc) who own Scoobs. A guy who I was due to meet to help set up the club had just picked up a STI VI. I've forgotten his name, but he's a regular on this BB. Just though i'd let you know!!

Cheers guys

Al Cook

Al Cook, when were you there? I was based at Salamanca Barracks in Episkopi Garrison in the early '90's With the 3rd Btn The Queens Regiment. I didn't have a Scoob I had an XR3I .

Wurzel.
I was there late 90's with 12 Signals Unit RAF, also at Epi. The 1st Bat KOSB were our residents battalion.
I worked at the 'Golf *****' on the hill.
Shame about the XR3i though! The Scoob on those great driving roads was fantastic. Apart from the SBA cops doing me for speeding on the way to Akrotiri. Oh well.
Are you still in? Where are you now, and most importantly of all, did you get rid of the 3i? If you did then what Scoob are you driving?
Mmmm appears we have should have a new group, meeting old friends!
