Here are a few pics

As you can see the heatshield looks almost unmodified

What I did was just cut the back off from the join down, so the top part remains unmodified, and on the bottom part only the side remains, so it could still have some extra bolts

Hope this helps

Cheers

Steve

Question

I've just fitted an open neck Hayward and Scott downpipe to my Impreza. I was told I need to mod the heatshield to get it back on the car but I don't know how much to cut off/bend or which bits.

Has anyone done this already and also has anyone got any pics of a modded heatshield. I tried the search but the links are that old the pics have long gone.

Any help would be appreciated

Cheers Sonic!

I've managed to get a H&S 3" now that matches up to the HKS rear perfect, no knocks or bangs. Well chuffed.

Nice one

its weird, as I get no bangs or knocks from the DP, and I didnt fit a new bracket either, just bolted it straight on

What I did notice, was that the DP fits very very snug against the arm the OE DP fitted to on the gearbox

P1's must be slightly different than Std UK cars

When you had the DP fitted, what centre section was on yours at the time, mine was a Magnex centre

It was a HKS one, the Hyper needs it's own centre section as well. Ho-hum
