Is anyone online here with SW: Galaxies ?
Must admit the graphical impressions look excellent although the reviews I've read are pretty mixed. I'm aware it's not out on UK shores just yet but has anyone got an import and playing this currently, and if so, what are your thoughts ?

Yep, had it just after it came out. The graphics engine is really good, but I started to get very bored as it just plays like eversleep (sorry EverQuest) The skill system is good and the fact that players can teach each others skills is rather neat.

One of the biggest problems is the econemy, which is purely run by the players, with no selling of looted stuff to vendors and for that matter no vendors to speak of. The only way is to sell stuff to other players using either the eBay like market system or trades. I might have missed something, but I just got as bored with this as I did with everquest, Anarchy Online etc. I've got Eve Online to have a go at so might see how I get on with that and just stop my Star Wars account for a while.

Eve online looks quite promising I have to admit.
Time will tell I guess in these instances and whether users will multiply sufficiently to populate the universes.
