Personally loathe caravans - but Scoooby is great tow car with power/torwue and AWD. I have towbar for boat, and have amazed several owners of larger german estates stuck in mud by hauling them out without fuss.

Also 1200 miles and not seen!! but heading to North Cornwall soon so perhaps Eagle Eye Borro might spot me??

 

Turbo cars ain't good for towing full stop.

 

bought my scoob with a tow bar on and folk still take the pi55 cos i havent taken it off yet...

...and no it wasnt me.

 

OK - so perhaps my amateur mechanics not good
but why are turbos crap for towing?
Diesels with low down torque are ideal,...but surely they all have turbos now?

If drive with steady right foot don't always need to explore full power curve of turbo and rip off tow bar!

Thought main factor against Scooby was weight - heavier tow vehicles tend to be better/safer.

Messiah - don't remove that tow bar:

a. let's mates take ****/keeps them amused

b. helps the 'stealth' image - looks like an ordinary japo-hatchback to the uninformed

c. great in traffic - people wary of getting too close

d. dead handy for hauling stranded friends out of mud/ditches etc

im not proud of it but hey the kids had to have their caravan holiday.pissed down with rain most of the week as well.going back down in a couple of weeks bed and breakfast this time.were you coming back from st eval.would have gone but timing was wrong.have to get a picture done with the caravan on ha ha.hoped no one would see me but you did.
