How do I remove an up-pipe?

Question


And it is a complete b**tch of a job?

Car is an 02 STi Type UK, so no cat in the up-pipe which should make life easier.

The heatsheild on it has fractured at the turbo flange and the rattling is getting on my nerves

This is quite a good thread on the subject.

The other option is to remove the turbo and pull the uppipe out upwards (this works on a classic, not sure about a new age).

It's a good few hours work.

Andrew,

The other option is to remove the turbo and pull the uppipe out upwards (this works on a classic, not sure about a new age).
