hi all
i have yet another problem
i was doing a compresion test befor bying a new turbo as she is smoking and using oil
only to find all at 165+ and 1 at less than 10 NOT GOOD
i thought the turbo was going and have been using it prob making matters wors
i am not shure what has happend seemed to be runing not to bad had developed an uneven rock like a plug was going down but never got any worse ???
has anyone els had anything like this happen and what was the out come ?
im i looking at a new engine or expensive rebuild
can you recomend anyone for a pre set up lump already sorted linghtend ballanced ex
would be glad of any help oh im in the north east if anyone can help

unfortunately, sounds like you have an expensive problem. its likely to be either a piston problem: holed crown or shattered ring lands, caused by high temps and therefore detonation, or it could be a problem with one or more valves.

i had a shattered ring land on my piston, no.2 cylinder, so i built a new engine, done 6000 miles now, and car just sits in a mates garage cos i do 700miles a week and it does 25 mpg max

will sell the engine etc, and the car one day, whenever i get round to it lol
