Hi all
I have just come across a company that make steel mesh filters, if I could persued them to make PANEL FILTERS, would this be an end to concernes over MAF sensors and FOAM/Oiled filters.
Just think performance filter in your standard air box, Air flow sensor safe.....
Your thoughts would be nice

Can the steel filter down to the same level as a foam/cotton filter? Although there is going to be less oil/cack getting to the maff is there likely to be more general dust getting into the engine?

Subaru have a recommended limit on "hole" size they expect in air filters .. its pretty small, like 10 micron ( some one correct me if I am wrong please).

After market filters struggle to meet this, and those stainless filters liker the Blitz cone have 180 - 200 micron holes IIRC... so not a good idea?

Your choice tho, as always....
