OK had me scooby a month or so now it needs its 45k service (MY99) anybody recommend anyone round about Ayr to do this???? Also my car seems to struggle in 2nd sometimes like theres no boost or something - car is completely standard turbo 2000 - anyones doing the same???? This is the first turbo car I've owned and much more fun than me old saxo VTS (It wasnae bad though!!)

tom i have the same make and model car as yours, not sure about the service but second gear is my favourite plenty of pull and grunt, sorry if this wasnt the answer you were looking for

some times it pulls well in second other times it doesn't if I'm going round a roundabout and then floor it some times it just doesn't go... in fact my saxo pulled harder in second ;-)

 

fat tom try a search on here about the 2nd gear thing , I seem to remember it's a thing they all do , if you are running along in second gear for a few seconds ,for example waiting to overtake then plant the old right foot nothing seems to happen it seems like someone has taken your turbo away !I seem to remember reading it's something Subaru built in so they could get round some emmission crap . I've got a MY99 and it does it also.

yeah that sounds about right.. - if i hold it in second for a few seconds and then floor it all tha saxo boys go right by me....

ok only 500 miles to 45K..... (about 1 week) nobody have any recommendations in the Ayr region??? - what about main dealers are they ok for this sort of thing or is it best to steer clear????

advice would be appreciated!!! don't want so half-wit doing a major on me scoob...!!!
