For those who ocasionally search for a quiet silencer (like i). Scoobysport back box is a good choice. Last saturday cops stopped me with "enthusiastically" desire of fine me. They extend me a traffic fine in order to pass sound control before 15 days period. I was absolutely sure exhaust was not loud but probably cops have not better to do at 4,30 a.m. or perhaps they have some envy because they were working and i not. Today i´ve passed proves OK, only 88 Db and traffic fine broken.

We made it 2dB quieter in October last year as Police throughout Europe (including the UK) seem to be cracking down on noisy cars.

 

I'm not sure what happens to my car but everytime it passes a police car the clutch goes in, the revs drop off and it idles on past. When the police car's out of range the clutch comes back out and carries on. Spooky!

Its only a personal opinion but noise is great when you hear it only a little time but for example in a long travel maybe a torture.

Really a strange breakdown Mickle but i´m sure it not happens when cops are hidden

I think 90 is limit but in Barcelona (Spain) i don´t know wich is legal in your city. In Spain each city have is own rules generally over 90 Db. I think exhaust part that more increases sound is centre section (almost in WRX) because it have two resonators.
