I'm about to buy a wrx sti6 from a garage but he's shown me the log book and the car is actualy registered as a gl.
I asked the salesman about this and he said it is a common thing with imports, when they are registered they are sometimes registered wrong. He also said it is possible to contact the DVLA and re register it as the sti . What do people think??

 

Just check the model code, under bonnet on right hand side, with this code you can look up exactly what model and year it is.
I don't have the list handy but put a post up in the main forum and you will get some help.

took two goes to get my log book not to say 1.8 gl

 

chears, looks like its not the only one. Pick it up in about 10 hours hopefully, cant wait

 

when i bought my scooby, the logbook said impreza GL, but i winged at the dealer and they sent it off to the DVLA and got it changed to Impreza WRX.

They can be made to say the right thing
