Question

Being a complete plank, I'm not sure re the centre diff. I've changed the oil in the gearbox and rear diff a few times, but what about 'centre diff' - does it require oil changes?? My trouble is, I can only do the service on small ramps, so can't see fully under the car.

I've got an MY02...any ideas?

Cool

The centre and front diffs use the same oil as the gearbox, so just keep changing that at least as often as the service schedule suggests.

Cheers mate. Will do. I've been changing the oils every 10,000 with GL5, since she's now running alot more power.

That gearbox oil does alot of work then...I'm going to use Silkolene syn5 at next change - rated GL5/GL6. What do you use?

Yep no maintenance required.
The only time you would even need to think about the centre diff and have it tested is if you are having problems with torque split.

I've heard it also needs 'work' if you get klunk sounds around the odd corner...but that can also be the suspension.
