A couple of times recently ive experienced a temporary partial loss of boost down from roughly 13psi to 8psi. it boosts fine up to 8psi then holds back. only lasts for about 10 minutes. only happened a couple of times and I just drive very slowly and it clears itself.

It’s an virtually unmodded 1995 WRX just an HKS hyper exhaust.

Any ideas what it could be, im a bit crap when it comes to engines.

check for fault codes on / in the ecu

 

hmm didnt think of that as the CEL doesnt come on

and i know the CEL works as i had the water temp sensor go a few months back

will have a look if theres any error codes.
