Right, still going through my conversion and i have now managed to match up the WRX loom perfectly missing of the non required sensors.

BUT.... there are three connectors hanging around above the gearbox. I am assuming one is the knock sensor (the single wire).

what are the other two???

also, anyone got a wiring diagram for the STi £ throttle bodie to a WRX loom (3 wires on STi, 4 on WRX)

bit more info would help.. however.. 92 -96 so other years are similar..

Around the top of the gearbox should be..

Water Temp
Fan Switch
TPS
ISCV
Knock Sensor
Ground From to Inlet manifold.
Ground direct to bracket on Starter
12v feed to solenoid / starter
Solenoid Trigger / Start Wire

Then to the left of the gearbox on pre 98 is Lambda, VSS, Reverse Sw., Neutral Sw.

Im sure Ive missed some.. ooh I have gnd.. & starter..

Hi Jon, on my93 wrx there are three connectors coming from the wiring loom atached (ive spelt that wrong?) to the bulkhead, the single wire is the knock sensor the other 2 are cam sensor and crank sensor. hopr thats somer use KARL p.s there is also another single wire connector in the same area but this is the power steering warning light and this will connect to the knock sensor as well, which is great fun when you go round corners ):

Id guess the connectors he refers to are for the knock sensor ( one wire ), cam sensor, and crank sensor.
These are the only 3 sets of connectors that are not actually part of the the engine wiring loom as such.

The main loom runs through the inlet manifold, and feeds varoius items such as the TPS, ISCV injectors etc etc, and is cable tied to the manifold, with 2 main multiplugs beside the battery on most cars. ( some models do vary though )
