Have just received my WRX from Japan, and had a good look over it today.

I am trying to make it overall as "stealth" as possible;
mainly to put off scumbags theives who dont really know cars but think they do.Also the car has to pass the SVA.
Its arrived with an aftermarket exhaust which may not be in the interests of either objective.
Hopefully the down pipe is standard. pretty sure its a 2 1/2 "
(there's a cat in that one isn't there ??)

The centre is a 3", I think its a blitz. from pics i've seen it looks like an NUR or its predecessor.(Looks like no cat)

The BB is 3" pipe, into a 5" outlet (looks bloody huge)
and it has SR on it. (I know there was a Blitz SR BB)

Q 1. depending on if the exhaust as it stands passing MOT emmisions test.(a good indicator for the sva), I will only replace the BB. What makes of BB come in 3" pipe, remember I dont want large.

Q 2. If it fails emissions, i will have to fit a centre cat, which
will probably come in 2 1/2 " section or do they come in 3".

last but not least
Q 3. No matter what, I will be selling the Blitz BB, anyone know what these will go for in the "FS" section.Looks ok cond.

(i might keep the centre to put back on it)

If it passes the MOT it may not pass the SVA. This is what happens with me. it came over with a large bore and passed the emissions but was told by the SVA it would fail. There were 2 things i could do:

1-Make your own muffler. If its blitz backbox, borrow a muffler off someone and use it in there. Saying that if you have a decat centre, it will be still loud and fail.

2-What i did was take a standard backbox (borrowed it from a garage-think they charged me £30 to borrow it for the day) and put that on. Went to the SVA test with this on and they passed me. They returned the backbox and put the old one back on.

If you do have the Blitz Nur Spec R (ie the backbox and centre), they sell for £550. So i would think you could get £400 for this in the for sale section.

If you are just selling the backbox, these retail at £350 i think so you could sell it for £250 easy
