As above. My93 wrx engine is currently in bits and was looking for advice. Pistons, piston rings and cylinder bores are worn and the engine has done high miles. So do I increase my overdraft a little or a lot how much would i be looking at for new pistons and would there be any other modifications needed. KARL

If you're getting brand new pistons then rebore +0.25mm

But I would get the bores checked out properly, as you may be able to get away with a hone and a std set of pistons.

If you're short of money, you should consider a used shortblock or complete engine. Or if you want uprated parts such as forged pistons and rods, that's a new ballgame.

Do you have a budget for the cost and idea of what you want to do (if anyhting) power wise?
