Rear Brake Light
#1
Does anyone have any experience of fitting the optional brake light to the rear spoiler of a UK car. At the moment there is just a blanking plate there.
Is the wiring already there and it’s just a case of fitting the light?

I haven't done it myself but did look into it. The wiring is there up to the boot. There is then a little extra piece that goes from the boot onto the boot lid and up to the spoiler mount and then it goes into the spoiler with the cable from the brake light itself.
Apparently quite exepnsive if you buy direct from a delear. I keep meaning to visit a few local scrappies and find one....

And not all pre-brakelight models have the blanking plate! My old red one did - the present green one had to have a complete new spoiler....
And there is a seperate bit of wiring from the spoiler to the boot. I just made my own up - 'cos I always have wiring connectors and wire lying around. Took it through the boot support instead of fixing it to the side as the OE one is. It works....
