think my my00 uk turbo box is dead

dont fancy gettin the same replacement as its obviosly not coping with my 280bhp and driving style.

what are my options?, wouldnt mind shorter gearing while im at it also, STi box?, 4.44 diffs?...

what do you guys recommend?

Ive thought about this before. When MY95 wrx gearbox goes, whats best to replace it with? I was thinking about a ra gearbox as arent these shorter gears?

I think the main issue with me is getting to 100 quickly rather than top speed. Ideas?

 

While we're talking about gearboxes, is there any difference between a UK MY96 box and that in a UK MY97 ?

I know about the different size bellmouth, but wondered if they were the same ratios (I think they are, but am not 100% sure) and whether the design (synchros etc) was any different/better?

 

By the time you've finished Peccy, it would have been cheeper to buy a P1, Now they can cope with 280 Bhp. Ady.

Think about what you may end up doing to your car, power wise, then think about your gearbox.

 

Im recommending the Lateral Performance gear kit as sold in scoobyshop..

Lateral performance top stuff. Quite expensive though. Ive got a few engine mods on the way soon so i reckon 6 months and it will be new gearbox time
