Labour all the way!

Since they sorted out crime and got the NHS working and not too mention the fantastic schools how could i vote any other way.

Oh yes their tough stance on immigtation is the real decider for me

Yes i know it is the local elections but even our local Labour councillors are pants - Traffic wardens more important than Police officers - al to do with revinue generation.

Speed cameras instead of fighting real crime - it sucks

God i hope they are at the polling stations so i can tell them what i think.

yeah, i'm a bit indian looking, but me white mates got bogged out a bit down brick lane by a few asian rude boys!!!

Grub is great down there and fairly cheap.

I think its the same everywhere now, you get little pockets of cultures and it is a bit intimidating if, say you walk into a shop and there are 15 punjabs speaking at 400 mph in their bengal ungi bungi language.

each to their own.

I will be mightily pi55ed off however if my little boy ever comes home and says he's learing urdu, or hebrew at school!!!!!

i have all this to look forward to......

edited to maintain the thread track... "i will not be voting"

Does anyone remember when the people of Worcester were mentioned in previous election guff as the 'average, middle-class electorate' that represented the silent majority?

Must have been a bit of a change as the local ballot paper has three candidates:

1. Labour
2. Conservative
and now
3. BNP!

That'll be an interesting council!!

I presume the Liberals couldn't be ar5ed to put anyone forward!

Only the Conservatives have bothered to make any effort in the Wokingham election - no flyers or visits from any others.

They win my vote anyway, just cos the lady that came round was very nice. She said "I can see you're watching TV, so I won't keep you"

Most important not to interfere with SWRT's viewing of "The Bill", I'll tell you

Well call it lazy but the way i see it, if someone wants me to vote for them then they should tell me why.

I know who i will probably vote for but not before having a chat with them at the polling station tonight.

I dislike the lack of "NULL VOTE" or "NO PARTY LISTED" options on the form, and im being 100% serious.

At least it gives the people the chance to tell "them" I think that the options would be surprisingly popular!

If you don’t vote (for someone) the greens will get in! (eventually)

That’s what happened around here, our member of the European parliament is a greeny weirdo – who wants us (the country) to go back to middle ages

Lesson learnt I make sure I vote whenever I get the chance now

Sorry but what a bunch of idiots!

The right to vote is a privelige, one that has been fought for by many people over many years, and you dismiss it like it's nothing.

If there is more than one candidate you should make a decision which political party you wish to support and vote for them. If you are really that disatisfied you can stand yourself as an Independent... but of course that would require you to be arsed to do it!

In my opinion anyone who chooses not to vote, or stand themselves loses the right to moan about the extortionate rates of council tax and at a government level the state of the country.

Have to say though, a lot of the ones standing for election seem to make not much effort to tell us why we should vote for them. Only had one leaflet through the door etc... Ok, can't expect them to get around everywhere, but still, probably know what I mean.

The only thing is, if you dont vote you cant really complain about the councillors later. I agree with so many people here though, none of the candidates have bothered to tell us what they stand for and we dont even know who was on the council already and is hoping for re-election. I wanted to vote for anyone who was not on the council before but no way to find out, even the people running the voting station did not know!

I think it is disgraceful to treat the public in such a cavalier manner.

I agree with you CC about turning up in a Ferrari etc. Only trouble is-there was not a candidate to be seen!

When the administrators become uninterested in the peoples' welfare like this, then civilisation is going down the tubes!
