Had by STI 7 since dec 02 and have just recently strated to get orrible rattles from front console and from someone in the back, only occurs after 30MPH etc.. but it is really annoying.. Now is it worth me taking it back and getting the dealer to investigate or could they make it worst...

any advice would be great..

You've paid good money for the car - get them to sort it out!

Question

I have this rattle. But doesn't the aircon sensor in the centre of this panel on the UK car stop you from removing it

Not new. See this link. Hope it turns out to be helpful, even though it could be "anything".
I have the same rattles from around. I believe one way to "cure" it is to install a higher quality stereo or (and) have a louder exhaust

bluto22b the aircon sensor has two wires attached to it which are 4(ish) inches long, these plug into a socket which in attached to the loom so it is still possible to remove the trim. However the plug and socket are wrapped in sticky backed foam tape which has to be removed (and replaced).
