I had a Girlfreind whos parents were JW's, she was great and the mum was okay but dad was a proper nutter, I am very tolerant (see the TT/Gay thread) but JW's try even my patience, trying to not give a dying child a blood transfusion is a criminal act, being as the poor kid cant say anyway, I think my kids would say, yes I would rather like to live to harass you another day.

 

My brother-in-law used to be a minister.He loves it when JW's come round.He invites them in and completely hijacks the conversation and trys to convert them Taste of their own medicine

 

I had some JW knock on my door the other week!

I just told them I was a bhuddist and could not be converted!

They stup up and left me alone!

I just opened my door and gave them a hanniabl lecter look and said "I'm just in the middle of eating some liver with some father beans and a nice Chianti"

Ive never seen anyone run so fast as the JW who was chased away by my neighbours young golden retriever. (I was looking after their dog while they were on holiday - he wouldn't hurt anyone knowingly and was very friendly, but didn't know his own strength)

The JW closed the gates of the driveway, and stood panting outside them. Then as the dog cleared the gates easily, the poor guy's eyes nearly poped out of his head before he ran off

It never occured to me to call the dog back until he got too near the road, I was having too much fun

Strangely, the JWs have never been back since, and it's nearly 10 years ago!

 

I know a few JW's and I have found them all to be the most pleasant and polite people I have met.

OK...I don't agree with there beliefs, and I get annoyed that that they find the need to knock on doors, but I dont find them anymore "wierd" than a Muslim.

....have you even noticed how well behaved the kids are......maybe we could learn a thing or two from them?

I always think I should invite them in and chat for hours.

They're never ever going to convert me so it's wasted time. There's a risk though that if you tell them to f**k off they may go next door and find someone more gullible.

In the end though I can't be bothered and just tell them to do the above.
