Just fitted a nice shiney (2nd Hand) Forge Re-circ Dump Valve to my MY00.
Now every time I change gear 'on boost' it sounds like a old rusty gate opening...Sqweeek !!!!

Is it just a case of opening it up and giving it a good grease..or do "they all do that".

It's not waste gate chatter either, as my old Cosworth used to do that, and that sounded sweet.....

Mine makes a nice CHING sound when changing at full boost or a CH_CH_CH_CH_CHRST noise if lifting off gently on boost.

Cleaned it out lunchtime, to see if it made any difference (as that's what a Forge Service probably is). Still makes the sqweek noise, which may well be how they all sound...just not to my liking at the moment.

I did notice however that is does have a 'RED' spring, so maybe this needs changing to 'BLUE'.

My car is in the garage at the mo so no sound files available as yet.

I have the blue spring in mine so see how it sounds when you have it fitted.
