I was wondering how hard is it to remove the engine in a 92 legacy turbo i have the ability just wanted to know of any nasty surprises.
i need to fix some leaks and do the clutch and timing belt also seem to have a dicky tappet on one bank.
It doesnt look to hard but you guys should know!!

It is pretty easy to remove the engine. Just removing the clutch fork to allow seperation from the box can be tricky for the first timer. It has been covered in another thread here recently. Do a search.
As for noisy tappets...the offending tappet can be hard to pinpoint, and they are bloody expensive to replace them all. Apparently clogged oilways can also help contribute to noisy tappets, so changing them might not always cure it, but in most cases it should.
Again, this topic has been covered a lot in the past. Do a search on noisy lifters or similar.
