Question

When changing gear the engine revs increase momentarily whilst the clutch is engaged and the foot is off the accelerator.

Any ideas anyone?

(Mods, please give this post some airtime in this forum before you commit it to the technical forum graveyard!!!)Cheers all.

I get that sometimes, I guess it's the compressed air in the intercooler or some kind of fuelling thing. Suzuki carry vans do the same thing.

Maybe a slow reaction from the ECU? declutching lowers the load on the engine, raises the ability to rev? I dunno nuffink, mind..

I think you would be surprised at the quality of response you would receive in the technical forums.

Give it a go on this one, and double post your query in the drivetrain forum as a test.

All the best

Simon
