I'll be going full de-cat when the warrenty from Subaru goes.

I know it's worth doing a remap at this stage to get the most out of the exhaust mod, but I won't be able to afford it straight away (unless I save and wait for the zorst).

Is there an increased risk of det or knock when going full decat before a remap? If so, I'll remap it the same day!

 

If it's a UK 99/00, then no there's not a huge risk. My MY99 has been fine before and after a full decat. If it's a jap car, I'd get it remapped or at least fit gauges at the same time.

Knock's always a risk (dodgy fuel, for a start), so it's worth spending some dosh on a Knock detector anyway.
