In my new, run-in Sti8, I tends to find the thing lurches in 2nd gear as I accelerate, just before the turbo kicks in. I can avoid this by keeping the revs quite high as I change up from 1st, but a normal, brisk, pull-away always seems to result in judder in 2nd. Anyone else experience this ?

just run in mine. haven't noticed that, but have noticed slight flat spot in the last couple of days 4000-4200 rpm.

constant surge kicks in at 3500 and onwards thru the gears and it's not like it splutters it's just the pull slightly flattens at 4000 for a split second - maybe i'm felling something that isn't there being new to the car - or maybe it's just the newness.

it's being PPP'd in a few weeks, so things will change anyway.

There is a hole in the map at 1800rpm to 2000rpm, where if you use slight throttle, as you would in trafic, it hesitates and then lurches. It's a bit of crap mapping, the PPP doesnt cure it.
