Is there any risks with a dump valve on a MY99 UK Turbo?

Question

I want to get a dump valve for MY99 UK Turbo, can they have any bad affecks on the car at all??

Also, is it worth the extra cash to go for an expensive 'Jap' one??

You will have a recirculating one already but with the resonator box and everything then you don't hear it much.

Don't think there is any harm in running an after market one, except you may get some oil splurgy stuff on the inside of your engine bay which seems to get dumped occasionally.

Do a search cos I reckon this was discussed a while back

IMHO don't do it. No real gain day to day and potential for problems later on. Just ask Evilbevel.
