Finally started tinkering with my '97 jap Sti.

Anyone have any view on where the best gain is gonna be against:

MRT inlet pipe (I'm running a sock airbox)

or

Hayward & Scott oversize downpipe + centre section (probably keep hold of STi backbox for now [girlfriend issue there but I won't go into it]).

I'm pretty sure the downpipe / centre section are going to be more restrictive to overall than the inletpipe but I'd appreciate any comments/experience anyone has....

 

Dear Dr,never fitted an inlet pipe but have replaced the DP on both my STis with good results.Also you are more likely to pick up the DP second hand at agood price

The standard backbox seriously restricts things if the rest is sorted though....been there, done that...wife doesn't travel in the car anymore
