Sounds like you need the later kit to me.

You have the wrong kit, MY99 cars started end Aug 1998. MY2000 cars started end Aug 1999 and so on.

I've also just bought a MY99 Forge VTA dump valve!!! do you think this will fit ok!!???

You said MY99 cars started in Aug 1998.....My car was registerd on the 18th November 1998, that's why i though that kit would have fitted.

Heres a pic of the engine, see what you think.

Hi all,

Got a K&N Induction Kit the other day and when i tried to fit it, it didn't fit!!

The instructions said for 'Subaru Impreza Turbo 1997 - March 1999

My car is an 'S' reg 98 model with the MY99 facelift, i.e, interior and engine are all MY99.

Is this the wrong kit???

The main problem is this:

The replacement hose at the engine end fits ok, but the MAS end is 10mm to small in diameter.

The electrical plug that needs to connect back on is 150mm too Short.

Also the pitch of the bolt holes that bolt the new filter unit on, don't align with the plastic piece that connects to the new filter.

The kit is for upto March 1999!! so i thought this would surely fit!! As my car was registered on the 18th November 1998!

Any suggestions????? Please!!!!
