Why is it that I would say 50-60% of "well known" companies often mentioned on Scoobynet either by banner ads or word of mouth don't seem to bother answering email's?

I've made some genuine enquiries over the last 3-4 months via email, most of which have remained unanswered.

I'm normally too busy to be ringing round, email is an easier way to ask a question on price, availabilty etc and get a direct answer IMH.

Why bother having a company email contact if you're not going to reply

 

Couldn't agree more mate.

Some of these companies I personally have already spent thousands of pounds with.

However when you email them for a price on something basic they just don't seem to want to know.

I have to agree with that as well, asked a few companies for advice on a product with a view to buying and recieved no replies, so I went and found it somewhere else. I have maybe contacted twenty firms and only got an answer off four and a proper reply from two of them, these two now get all my business (even supplying items not on there site). Proper service will always get my cash.

 

Mega, hope your not tarnishing me with that brush, i answer 99.9% of my emails i just refuse to answer the ones offering me pen15 extensions

I must say, you and JW racing are about the only 2 that actually take the time to reply

 

JW was one of the one's I had in mind as well

 

Welcome to the car indistry. I know exactly how you feel. You should try contacting Godspeed via email. Might reply within 3 months if you are lucky.

Come on guys ...respect the small business man.. They cant always get to the phone /computer.

 

But that's my point...why put an email address as a contact for your business if you're not going to check it frequently and reply?

Infact, for that matter, the ones I'm on about have never replied!, and they arn't the small business man either
