Been to dealer today and had CEL diagnosed as O2 sensor. Told that it is usually not serious, oversensative/dirty sensor and had the CEL reset. If comes back on to book car in for a new sensor (will this be covered by warranty?)

Anyone had any experience of this,

Forgot to mention, could the problem be caused by my de-cat?

 

Have you got a decat up-pipe or downpipe??

If so then you need a cel fix to trick the ECU to thinking that the cats are still in place.

have a Scoobysport up-pipe and down pipe................and a CEL fix

Is the 02 sensor what the CEL fix is meant to fool

The CEL fix should have cured the 02 sensor alarm,but it could still be a faulty sensor as this stays in place in the exhaust and your CEL fix is directly fitted to your ECU.
Even if you had all the CAT's still on the car the sensor could still well fail and illuminate the CEL.
If it comes on again take it into Scoobysport and get them to check the both of them.
