If a WI is added to a car with Prodrive ECU, what sort of power gains will be achieved?

Will the ECU sort the ignition, etc?

Current mods:

De-cat exhaust (HKS Hyper)
K&N Induction Kit
D/V
Prodrive ECU

 

Why do you want WI? What boost are you runng?

IMO, a waste of time unless you can remap the ecu to suit or are completely insane like Andy.F

My understanding is that when you add water injection you are more than likely to reduce bhp unless you can remap the ecu.

The WI provides a better safety margin in theory by helping to cool the charge.

I run a dual pump WI system as an extra level of support rather than a performance tuning mod.
It will rob you of power if you dont have it specifically mapped to the car,as you will be replacing fuel with water

You can get extra performance from using it as you can run more boost and advance whilst keeping the intake cooler

 

I was looking into the safety margin of the car.

boost is about 1.1 to 1.3 on cold days

 

vinesh, as you are looking for safety, WI would be a good move.

Recommend using a .4mm jet if using the ERL/Aquamist setup.

thats about right for that ecu anyway so i wouldnt worry about it (mine runs the same btw)
