Hi Guys.
Need a bung for my Nur spec.May take over six weeks to get one from Blitz.Any chance someone could be kind enough to post a photo of one and I can try and have one made.Photo of the bung not in the exhaust would be useful so I can get a good look at it.

its a wierd thing, thin pipe with a wide bung for the pipe and a little bolt. will try and take a pic of mine

At risk of soundin like im takin da pea have u checked the end of back box as i've seen many ppl think they didnt get bung only 2 discover it was actually already in there i can take a pikky of mine tomorrow as well if u need it still & rough dimensions if u want?

If you buy just the backbox, apparently you dont get the bung

i kud get u rough dimensions but i guess u really do need a blitz un if u wana proper fit & even then mine did rattle slightly but this was overcome with a bit of glass tape round the rim

Hi Si.I meant itching to get the exhaust fitted not the bung! Too scared to fit the exhaust without the bung in case the neighbours do organise a lynching!

I didn't do the nut up tight enough and the bung blew out of the zaust at about 90mph

I'm sure if Deep wandered up and down the M3 for long enough it would turn up eventually

lol i just push it in when coming outa garage & then pull it out when round the corner but i take it easy thru fear of it flying out

I have a full Nur Spec R system with Sccoby Sport Downpipe and I have to have the bung in.............
without it , all my neighbours car alarms go off when I start up or come back!!!!!!!!!1

 

5 Type R, i have the same system as you. Its way to loud with the bung not in. Funny in car parks though

 

What diameter is the pipe/hole in the bung?

 

i was guna say if u can make 1 i rather fancy 1 with a slightly smaller pipe in it presuming it will reduce noise further (AKA neighbour war prevention scheme ) er i reckon off top of head it's about 1.5" but i shall measure 2morrow as i've now put car away

PS i wood like 1 1&1/2" to 1&3/4" for the diameter of centre pipe

 

NB the tape round outside is glass taoe is just to cushion any vibration metal on metal type sounds
So on thwe tape note i suppose it is guna b hard 4 u 2 get perfect dimensions since even the blitz made uns can b a mtiny amount out but at least u can pad it out with tape or wotever if too small

Yes it will b loud enough 2 set off car alarms m8 i have dun it when reversing into parking spaces & that's with standard DP made me pi$$ myself laughing thou
More than acceptable with the bung in thou even thou i have put bits of tape etc just so even if it makes no difference it looks like im tryin so neighbour doesn't get hump & kick me outa da garage

PS it's a safety device is my current line which in fairness is true no kids havwe walked out infront of car since i had it they're too busy goin oooooooohhhhhhhh scooby

it's brand new, I drove home after having the Nur Spec-R fitted approx 2.5 miles from garage...then out it came.

not sure how much its worth but will stick it in 'For Sale' and see how the bidding goes for a day or two ?
