Just filled the car again at my regular shell garage and the price of optimax is now 82.9p per litre...all this threat of war stuff I suppose! For me it's starting to get quite close to the point where i will be putting premium 95RON in instead. Maybe I'll even start having to lay off the fun peddle a little more frequently too!!!

How high is anyone else likely to go before they jack the good stuff?!

It'll soon get to the point where it's cheaper to buy 95 and then put octane booster in to bring it up to SUL levels.

I pay 89.9p per litre in my local Q8 garage.
Knew I should have bought a diesel:-)

 

I ran mine on 95ron all the time with the occasional tank of optipax. I didn't have any problems with doing so; and the performance was no different.

Although upon saying that, I only used to take it to about 5,500 rpm, I didn't feel the need to redline it on my way to wo*k everyday
