Cool

Just had a real problem with boost on my STi V3. Had a Blitz boost controller fitted and set to a safe 1.2 bar. The rolling road shows 314 bhp and 280 lbsft of torque. Before the boost was 1.6 bar!
Car drives realy well.
Good luck, Graham

Assuming you have knock and lambda gauges (and preferably egt too), it's a matter of 'suck it and see'. No-one is likely to provide you a safe boost level to run (except the stock one, which I don't know ). And if they do, you shouldn't trust it! Every car is different.

As I recall, you've got a PE phase one chip in your STi? I would try talking to PE direct about what it's mapped for, and whether they built in any extra load values to cater for higher boost.

Regardless - remove your fuel pump and check it's an upgraded one, and beware of maxing out your injectors if it's an earlier STi.

PE Phase - Im sure that the car hasnt any remap done (PE confirmed me........) and i didn find any changes in ECU or wirings and no black boxes here.

Injectors standard - 440 - the same like in Sti5.

Power on rolling road - 308 bhp and 373 Nm (with Blitz SUS, PE whole exhaust and octane booster).

After PE exhaust manifold instaling the car never been measured on rollers......

Now Im few steps to have the car ready but have friend in Hong Kong now. Prices for parts are very friendly. Im ordered (Apexi AVC-R) and thinking about next parts........

Unhappy

Why is it bad to run the injectors on max? At PE when the Blitz was fitted, Melvyn said my injectors were on full duty cycle. My car is a STi V3 my 97. Should I be worried?
