help in wiring setup
#1
going to run 4 AWG from '+' off battery, thro a water resistant fuse holder then thro car to the boot (somehow!!!)
into a 'Distribution Block 1 to 4', running x2 8 AWG cables from the block into a '2 Way Fuse Holder'
from the fuse holder x1 cable to amp 1 (to power 6x9's, other cable to amp 2 (to power 12" sub in box)
I plan to attatch the ground (black) cable 4 AWG to a good earth point in boot.
Questions.
1. wot fuse (i.e. 30A/40A???) should i use in the holder by the battery?
2. wot fuses (i.e. 30A/40A???) should i use in the holder in the boot?
3. how should i connect the earth cable to each of the amps?
4. is my set up correct or should i do it another way?
5. is there a good place where the power cable can thread thro from the engine bay to inside the car?

1 - what size fuse protects your amp(s)?
2 - see 1 - a quick description of amps and setup would help
3 - I common up my earths in an unfused distribution block (8awg to block, 4awg to chassis)
4 - fine - I go from 4AWG straight into a fused 4 way distribution block, but it depends what' you've got!
5 - yep, the aircon grommet
Cheers,
Nick.

maplins is the way to go, but 40 quid seems cheap unless they've got a sale on. Some of their 'kit' wiring boxes are lesser quality than the cables, fuses, terminals bought separately. I would expect nearer 70, but 150 quid?????
