Question

ive got a wrx94 with standard twin pipe exhaust, im thinking of changing the centre section to a de-cat. Is this the best way to go as i dont want to increase the volume, or do i need a complete system, i dont have a fortune to spend!!!!!!!

Im sure the WRX's have a resonated center and not a catted center. The only cat is in the downpipe.

Id start from the back and work forward.
Get a back box first and see how you go for a while, then fit a decat center and then think about fitting a decat down pipe.
If you get somehting like a scoobysport back box but leave the rest of the system standard it shouldnt be to loud, you can also buy decat centers with resenators in them to cut the noise down a bit.
You can find some second hand bargins in the for sale section, as the exhausts are stainless steel you dont have to worry about rust ect...I bought a Scoobysport back box and decat center for £100 a while ago
