MY99 UK turbo, started missin on way to work this mornin, pullin up a bank in 4th, same tank of petrol i've had in fer the last week, no water, nice dry mornin.

Wont pull at all in 4th or 5th, 2nd and 3rd misses more than it doesnt. No smoke. Missin when idlin and revvin the engine. A noticeable tickin sound from right hand side of engine bay too, doesnt sound mechanical. HELP!

61.5k miles, FSSH, serviced at 60k so shouldnt be plugs or fuel filter.

Should I be drivin it ? Will the RAC be able to diagnose anything if I call them out ?

Just spoken to my local dealer (Gilesgate, Hexham) and they reckon its likely to be a plug lead shortin out against the manifold. Anyone else had this ?

Someone talk to me pleez....

 

Sounds more liked a packed up coil.

called out the rac. how embarassed was i when he pushed the plug lead back on

cant have been put on firm enough at the previous service. still, a happy ending to a bad start to the day...
